Every year hundreds of millions of people around the world in more than 7,000 cities in over 190 countries take part by switching off for 60 minutes as a symbolic gesture of solidarity to show they care about our planet’s future. Individual actions can benefit our planet, while symbolically demonstrating support for a renewable future for our country, and for the world.

This year, Earth Hour was at 8.30pm local time Saturday 27 March 2021 where the RAH proudly joined in to demonstrate our support of #SwitchforNature for the switch to a renewables-based economy for Australia.

During this time the RAH switched off power for 60 minutes to specific and carefully and safely chosen non-essential areas such as the RAH sign and other non-clinical areas throughout the site.
