Presentation of Tuckeroo tree planting commemoration artwork
Last week Celsus @ the Royal Adelaide Hospital presented the Royal Adelaide Hospital with artwork to commemorate the planting of the Tuckeroo reconciliation tree last year.
Celsus commissioned Adnyamathanha, Ngarrindjeri Artist Amanda Jackson-Brown to paint the special artwork which transformed the 3 shovels used in the planting into three connected artworks.
Amanda talked about her artistic process, the importance of health and healing being interwoven through art, and about her love for the land, culture and humans.
As a symbol of our partnership and the importance of working together toward reconciliation, the artworks will be shared and displayed by Celsus @ the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the ATSI Hub and Central Adelaide.
The presentation was done by Di Mantell GAICD FACHSM CEO Celsus to Rachael Kay (on behalf of Lesley Dwyer), Ngara Keeler and Judith Dwyer.
